Reducing the wait for care National union CLAC offers timely access to specialist care program

Canadians experience the longest wait times for health care in the developed world, according to the Fraser Institute. As a result of these long wait times, CLAC, a national union representing more than 60,000 workers, partnered with Manulife to provide its members on disability with access to specialist care.
In 2018, Manulife added Medical Confidence, a company offering healthcare navigation services to support those on disability. Since then, Medical Confidence has supported CLAC members to access physician specialist care an average of 245 days sooner.
